Responsibilities:
None Job Summary Responsible for underwriting commercial and agriculture loans, ordering and reviewing appraisals, completing in-house real estate evaluations, monitoring large lines of credit, completing annual reviews, and assisting all loan officers with additional support.
Primary Responsibilities Ensure Compliance with Credit Policies and Procedures.
Assist in loan administration tasks as needed.
Underwrite commercial, agricultural, and real estate loans to mitigate credit risk to the bank.
Complete credit presentations in a precise, accurate, and timely manner.
Assist in collection of financial documents from customers when required.
Ensure the completion of all required annual reviews.
Work in conjunction with all loan officers to help maintain a safe and sound lending portfolio.
Attend and participate in weekly loan committee meetings.
Monitor existing loan portfolio of consumer and commercial/ag loans through data analysis as well as communication with customer.
Complete in-house evaluations on commercial, consumer, and agricultural real estate.
Order real estate and equipment appraisals as needed.
Review all appraisals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
Proactively identify and communicate any potential issues or concerns with regard to the loan portfolio or any Bank products and services.
Protect Bank's image and reputation through confidential handling of customer information.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations and successfully completing all assigned training (internal or external).
Assists with execution of bank mission by completing all other duties as assigned.
Working Environment Work is typically performed in an inside, office environment.
Occasional travel may be required for appraisals, training, or meetings.
Work week consists of Monday through Friday as well as rotating Saturday mornings.
Physical/Other Requirements Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, type and write.
Occasionally required to stand, walk, and point.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to approximately 20 pounds.
Close vision abilities.
Required to occasionally travel to properties to complete in-house evaluations of the property.
Skill Requirements Excellent interpersonal, team, and communication skills (written and verbal) Knowledge of banking regulations (IDOB, FDIC, CFPB) Sound working knowledge of the overall operations of the loan/credit department Must stay current on operational, product and system changes/enhancements High sense of integrity.
Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with co-workers, customers, and other members of the community.
Ability to comprehend and analyze financial and credit data found with financial statements and tax returns.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe.
Selection Criteria Desired Bachelor's or associates degree in Business, Finance, or Economics is preferred, however, equivalent experience in banking, finance or a similar business position can be satisfactory.
Experience in compiling, analyzing, and presenting data in a clear way.
